RATB picket of US Embassy in support of the 5 Heroes of the Revolution in imperialist gaols

Solidarity greetings to the members of Rock around the Blockade picketing the US Embassy in support of the Cuban Five who have been unjustly imprisoned and declared guilty of espionage in a trial rigged by the extreme right when they were only fighting against terrorism conceived in Florida and tolerated by Washington. For 40 years Cuba has been the subject of countless terrorist attacks from the United States as part of the imperialist policy of blockade designed to destroy the Revolution which serves the interests of the people as opposed to big business. It is the height of hypocrisy that these Cuban Patriots languishing in US penitentiaries should be paying the price for defending their homeland from terrorism when the US itself together with a docile Britain is waging a so-called “War on Terror” which in reality is a bid for global domination on behalf of the transnationals. The victory of the Venezuelan people over the US-inspired coup against President Chavez is the second defeat of Western Imperialism after the Bay of Pigs in 1961 and shows what can be achieved once the people rise up in defence of their national independence and social justice. In solidarity with all those struggling for peace and socialism let the call go from this picket to release the Cuban Five, say no to terrorism and war, and end the US blockade of Cuba. Venceremos!
